My friend John recently taught me how to crochet.
These are some of the items that I have made so far.
The links below show you how to make other creative projects in your spare time:

Home-made slippers
This is the first scarf that I crocheted.
I used a size "H" needle and 4 ply acrylic worsted weight yarn.
After the initial chain I used half double stitches.
Unfortunately, I accidentally decreased the number of stitches in
each row so the end became triangular in shape.
I compensated by adding a stitch in each row as I neared completion of the other end,
making it symetrical.
Lesson learned: sometimes it's best to count as you go.
This is a scarf that I made for my mother for Christmas.
Like my first scarf, it was made half–double stitches but I used a thinner yarn and size "G"
needle. If you're interested in learning to crochet, check out this page:
This a blanket that I made alternating 2 rows of double stitches followed by
2 rows of half–double stitches. I also alternated yarns freely and
followed no color pattern except to use different shades of blue, green, white and purple.
